I’ve always found it difficult to answer the question, “What do you do?”
Professionally, I’ve spent my career in leadership and human resources—first serving in the Royal Australian Air Force and later helping organisations and people grow through thoughtful leadership and practical problem solving.
Outside of work, my interests don’t fit neatly into one category.
Books, the outdoors, well-made clothing, beautiful homes, thoughtful gifts, technology, investing, gardening, bushcraft, travel, food, stationery, family life, and the quiet satisfaction of learning something new. I enjoy researching, comparing, refining, and, perhaps most of all, sharing what I’ve discovered with others.
For a long time, these interests existed separately. Magpie Gathering is where they can come together.
This is a collection of the things that have earned a place in my life or captured my curiosity.
